KD International provides Concrete Oily Water Separators, designed for efficient removal of hydrocarbons and solids from oil and gas wastewater. Each Concrete Oily Water Separator is engineered for installation inside new prefabricated or to retrofit existing concrete tanks, ensuring cost-effective water treatment before reuse, injection, or discharge.

The KD Concrete Oily Water Separator utilizes gravity separation technology enhanced by coalescing plate pack internals. The separation process is based on Stokes’ Law, which governs the rise velocity of oil droplets based on their size, density, and viscosity of the water phase. Smaller droplets rise slower, making separation difficult, but within the separator, coalescence occurs—where small oil droplets collide and merge into larger droplets. This enhances separation efficiency, as larger droplets rise more rapidly to the surface, where they are effectively removed.

By incorporating KD’s advanced separator design, the system achieves high-efficiency hydrocarbon separation, surpassing conventional API oil-water separators in performance and reliability while ensuring environmental compliance and uninterrupted operation.
